Research

Outline of research

At Tokyo Metropolitan University Astrophysics Experiment Laboratory、It is the following three pillars of research。

  • Observational study of high-energy universe
  • Development of new observation equipment and devices
  • Study, development, and operation of satellite missions

Various high-energy phenomena are observed in the universe, such as the explosion of stars and the merger of galaxies.、X-ray observations have revealed this active universe.。

At our Astrophysics Experimental Laboratory, we are conducting observational research on the high-energy universe.。Research target is star、Galaxy、銀河団、cosmic x-ray background radiation、White dwarf、Black Hole、超新星残骸、Planet、comet、satellite、planetary magnetosphere、exoplanetary sphere、Exoplanets etc.。Analysis data uses Japanese X-ray astronomical satellites and overseas satellites.。

We are developing new observation instruments and devices to understand these new aspects of the universe.。This includes semiconductor microfabrication technology and radiation measurement technology.、Utilizes knowledge of low-temperature experiments, etc.。

and participation in and proposals for new satellite programs.、We also develop and operate。Our laboratory is one of the core development organizations for the XRISM satellite-borne X-ray microcalorimeter detector Resolve.。In addition, GEO-X, a unique earth magnetosphere observation satellite using X-rays, was launched by JAXA、Hokkaido University、Nagoya、Developed jointly with Kanto Gakuin University, etc.。

These three pillars are interlinked、Discover new phenomena and mysteries、Developing new technology to solve this problem、It will be loaded onto a satellite.、We have a positive feedback relationship.。
